hope everyone's memorial day was sun-tastic. :) even though it's a great day to celebrate the outdoors, bbq, and show the sun some love or get paid double time (woop woop!), i hope everyone took some much needed time to appreciate the people who fight for our freedom.
i realized today @ work how much people take their crappy moods out on the people around them. it surprises me every single day how horribly perfect strangers treat each other. working one-on-one with hundreds of customers on a daily basis, i can say firsthand that smiles really are contagious. a kind customer seriously can (and has on many occasions) made my entire day. so my daily advice (to myself, too) is really think before you speak or act. i know i've been guilty of taking my horrible moods out on the people around me (strangers and loved ones, alike) and i'm going to change that. there's a difference between confiding your crummy feelings to someone and taking it out on them and i think distinguishing the two is really going to make my days a whole lot brighter. smiles are contagious, infect someone today.
